mALI NOT MOLLY
Brooklyn-born Alex Mali is a multi-talented independent artist who puts a breathtaking spin on modern R&B. Her ballads are influenced by an electric assortment of genres with undeniable demonstration of strength in melodic and lyrical ability. Raised with a very rich heritage stemming from a Jamaican mother and a Trinidadian father, she stands above the crowd—scoring spots on popular playlists such as New Music Friday, Alternative R&B, Fresh Finds and more.
In 2017 she released “Hoity Toity”(prod. Nine-Ease) featuring Grammy Award-winning artist MeLo-X, demonstrating her versatility and love of her Caribbean roots. The reggae-tinged single captures the essence of Alex's heritage while maintaining an American pop-culture slant. The official music video for "Hoity-Toity" premiered on FADER landing on H&M + TopShop playlists as well as Ebro’s Beats 1 Radio Show.
After taking time to re-evaluate her artistry and fine-tuning her sound, Alex Mali appeared at the VFiles #NYFW SS19 Runway Show for an unforgettable vocal performance alongside Lil’ Kim at the Barclays Center, landed a sync in star-studded Netflix Film “AFTER PARTY” and been spotted on Sprite's #GetVocal Commercial worldwide, which aired the 2018 BETHipHop Awards.

These last few days have only shown me a peek at what tired really is. Glad I’m rewarded with a performance tomorrow.
I wonder what the longest period of time a plastic bag has flown in the air is.
I was singing Minnie Ripperton and sent my mom a video and she was weak. 🥺😭😭
